Symposium "Conflict Management at Universities

The meeting for conflict workers from research and teaching institutions

Dear colleagues, dear interested parties,

the current situation confronts us all with private as well as professional challenges. Due to the pandemic restrictions, we cannot invite you to the 3rd symposium "Conflict Management at Universities" in Karlsruhe at the KIT in autumn as announced. Meetings in larger groups with intensive exchange, as we were used to and appreciate it, cannot be reliably planned at the moment. We regret this very much!

At the same time, we feel that there is a great need for communication within the circle of experts: How do the conflict contact points at universities work in Corona times? How much personal contact with those seeking advice is necessary? How can professional conflict management currently be guaranteed?

In order to deal with the current situation and to meet the needs, the planning team of the expert meeting has set up a series for the "Virtual Exchange of Experiences on Conflict Transformation at Universities". Until the end of the year, we want to address topics of conflict transformation at universities in a video chat on at least four dates. After a lecture impulse, the topics can be discussed in the chat room and further actions can be agreed upon.
