Pledge of secrecy
The consultants are subject to the duty of confidentiality pursuant to Section 203 of the Criminal Code in a special way and/or the duty of secrecy pursuant to Section 4 of the Mediation Act. Strict confidentiality is fundamental to the work of the staff unit.
The duty of confidentiality does not only apply to the contents of the consultation, it also applies to the fact that consultation was sought at all. It applies to superiors and colleagues as well as to the service units of KIT and also to relatives.
Only if the explicit permission of the person seeking advice is given, other relevant persons or offices can be involved.
The staff unit only becomes active upon request of persons seeking advice, i.e. employees, superiors, work groups or employee representatives.
Email encryption
The protection of your privacy is important to us. This cannot be guaranteed with unencrypted communication by email. KMB therefore encrypts confidential content communicated by email using the KIT certificate. We strongly recommend that you also use encryption when contacting us by email. Please note that we cannot reply to you in encrypted form unless you have a valid KIT certificate yourself.
If you do not have a certificate and do not wish to receive an unencrypted reply, you may wish to contact us by telephone. In this case, please provide us with your contact details and availability by telephone. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
